Right now, In our very own galaxy...

The Galactic Empire and the New Republic are at war.
Many have chosen sides, the Jedi and Sith among them.
Territorial skirmishes rage throughout the galaxy.
Many have suffered, more have died.

Galactic War, is not the only worry running through the galaxy.
A genetic plague has decended upon everyone.
The "Derra Virus" has changed the genetic code of millions of beings,
While mostly contained this plague has caused many systems
to close their borders, creating conflict and strife.

Even during all of this, many have grown and prospered.
Beings have found a way to make the best of a galaxy filled with challenge.
From Corellian to Mandalorian, this is the story of
Kyp Arkanus, and Arkanus Enterprises.

Kyp's earliest memory is of the orphanage...run by the Corellian government, Arkanus Orphanage was home to many of Corellia's unfortunate children.  Not even knowing his own last name Kyp tried making the best out of a bad situation, but it was a long tough road.  Being in the company of so many children Kyp learned and developed many talents.  By the time he was 10 years old, Kyp had left the orphanage, and began living on the streets of Coronet, a bustling Corellian city.

On these streets, Kyp learned quickly the ways of the world.  Working odd jobs for anyone who would hire him Kyp barely made enough to survive, but managed to learn many new, and necessary akills, needed to stay alive on the rough streets of Coronet.  Eventually, Kyp began working for a local, small-time crime boss as a maintenace worker on his fleet of ships and vehicles.  It was here that Kyp developed his mechanical, and piloting skills, quickly becoming one of the best pilots in his boss' employ.

During his time in the would-be gang, Kyp also developed his skills with a blaster.  Though he never considered himself a criminal, Kyp wasn't always on the right side of the law.  Wanted for questioning in a swoop-race gambling conspiracy, Kyp decided it was time to leave Corellia...  At only 20 years old Kyp was destined for the stars.  Saving his credits and cashing in a few favors from the one or two friends he had, Kyp managed to purchase his first ship, a C-Wing Ugly he named "Kyp's Folly".  Kyp took off as soon as he had stocked the ship with supplies and began his incredible journey.

After leaving Corellia, Kyp really didn't know what he was going to do...he had decent piloting skills and was farily handy with most things, but he didn't have hardly any contacts or friends in the galaxy.  It was during this time that Kyp's Kustom's first opened for business.  Custom art and random piloting jobs helped pay the way for Kyp for a while.  It was around this time that one of his childhood friends, a human named Javin Beto contacted Kyp and said that, "Since you are off that rock, come work with me, credits to be had,".  For months Kyp considered his friend's words, but didn't act on them right away, he traveled the galaxy, meeting sentients and making a few credits here and there.

Once his roaming was done, Kyp contacted Javin and learned that his old friend had taken a job with the Galactic Services Corporation.  With no other job opportunities and not many credits in his pocket, Kyp decieded to accept his friend's invitation to come and work with him and the GSC.  Kyp set course for his friends location and to his first official faction work in the galaxy.

During his time with the GSC, Kyp learned many new skills, and continued to develop the ones he previously possessed.  Working with the faction was fun, he enjoyed the interaction with his faction-mates, and enjoyed working with his friend Javin.  It was about this time that Kyp discovered the Centrepoint Market, and the value of a fair and honest trade.  He vowed then to always conduct proper business, no matter what the product.

Kyp's time with GSC abrubtly came to an end when the faction dissolved stranding several faction members on various planets.  Kyp, the ever determined Corellian, hiked for days across harsh and hostile terrain to the city nearest his location, and was lucky enough to spend his last few credits on a ship.  He used this ship, "Revengence", to save his stranded bretheren.  After that the group split up, many joining other factions and several, including Kyp, going freelance.  He felt somewhat betrayed by his faction leaders and was soured to the idea of joining a faction again so soon.

Freelance once again, Kyp fell back on Kyp's Kustoms as his primary source of income, though he branched out into buying and selling merchandise of all sorts during this time as well.  Kyp's increasing number of successful and profitable trades reinforced his determination to become a well-known, trusted trader.  It was, however, his custom art shop, and the work it produced that would eventually change Kyp's life forever.

Kyp was enjoying life with no attachments, he and Kyp's Kustoms were doing well.  Kyp was buying ships and items, putting his custom touch on them and selling them.  One sale in particular garnered some interest.  Another custom artist commed Kyp and expressed their liking of his work.  As it turned out, this individual would eventually talk Kyp into joining Ailon Nova Guard.  Though, not without Kyp entering the group very skeptically and still unsure if he would ever like working for an established faction.

Much to his suprise, working for ANG was very enjoyable.  Kyp not only continued to develop his now prosperous Kyp's Kustoms business, he also was learning more, and more refined skills.  Once again meeting and getting to know his fellow faction members was Kyp's most enjoyable part of belonging to the faction.  It was here that Kyp met and was befreinded by a Mandalorian by the name of Kohl Straffer.

Kyp and Kohl quickly became friends.  Kohl also ran a small side business called Tal'Vode Industries, Kyp still was customizing anything a customer required.  As they got to know each other Kohl thought Kyp exibited and lived by the Resol'nare, though was unaware.  Kohl invited Kyp to explore the Mandalorian way, and it wasn't long after that Kyp was adopted by the Clan Solus'oya.  Here Kyp quickly became friends with many other Mandalorians.

Kyp always enjoyed learning from and getting to know his aliit vod, and learned a great deal more about Mandalorians and their ways.  His studies never complete, Kyp learned and grew as a Mandalorian and eventually was elected to the aliit council.  Here Kyp helped to pass on knowledge of the Mandalorian ways, and helped to move the aliit foward in the turbulent galaxy.  It was about this time that the sentients of the galaxy learned of the "Derra Virus".

Not only was Kyp learning more and more as a Mandalorian, but he was quickly advancing through the ranks of ANG.  With some experience when he was hired, Kyp was initially made a Lieutenant in the ANG military, in the "Roughnecks" unit led by then ANG Lt. Colonel Gort Horth.  Participating in all aspects of the faction, including, but not limited to all forms of communication available, Kyp quickly was noticed by ANG High Command, specifically Admiral Xavier Bourdain.  Kyp's willingness to put himself at risk for the good of the faction, and his impecable record of service, along with his ability to communicate and his devotion to the training, participation of members and overall well-being of the faction, quickly earned him the opportunity to command his own unit within ANG.

Horth found out that Kyp and Bourdain had been in communication and took it as a serious breach of protocol, even though then Lt. Arkanus was approached by Admiral Bourdain.  Horth immediately kicked Kyp out of the "Roughnecks" unit and gave him 24 hrs to leave the planet Vectinia.  Kyp then tried to explain the circumstances surrounding his impending promotion, but Lt. Col. Horth was having none of it, as evidenced by the partially redacted communication below.

"Don't kid yourself, Kyp. I never thought you wanted my job. What i found is you're an arrogant asshole who thinks he ought to be delivered a fleet simply because he's. . .well. ..because he's. . .whatever it is you think you are.

You were picked up and immediately made an Lieutenant. In less than a month made a Captain and given people under your command. That wasn't enough for you. You not only wanted more, but you wanted more NOW! I pandered to your bullshit
RP nonsense and though what you said was "I'm so gratetful" you then decided you need to go behind my back.

I have no time to pander to such children. Get your ass off Vectinia before i confiscate the ships assigned you. You betrayed me and as far as I'm concerned, you deserve to die."

                                                                                                                   - Gort Horth

Kyp immediately commed Bourdain, and Horth to settle the situation, again Horth was enraged.  He resigned his commission with Ailon Nova Guard and the "Roughnecks" unit was soon disbanded.  Kyp went on to found the "Shadow Wolves" unit and helped ANG reach new heights, not only in participation but in almost all aspects of the faction.  Kyp's unit was one of the most active units ANG had ever seen, at one time having over 12 active members in just the unit alone Kyp was proud of his unit within ANG.

During a routine search of space surrounding ANG assets, the "Shadow Wolves" working together with all other ANG units discovered the Qiilura System, and its only but habitable planet Qiilura.  Kyp was not only keeping his unit and it's members very active and involved, but he was also helping develop the training program for ANG.  Again Kyp would partner with his vod Kohl Straffer to help develop a new training program for ANG recruits, including new member orientation, to very advanced training for specific tasks.  ANG was moving forward in leaps and bounds, and Kyp, the "Shadow Wolves", and all in ANG were doing well.

Of course nothing lasts forever and times always change.  About this time, Kyp's Mandalorian clan, Solus'oya, was starting to unravel...many members had gone missing, and were not heard from for months if ever.  With the new planet to administer and many more time constraints ANG high command was sometimes very hard to reach.  Units would have difficulty performing the needed tasks.  All the units in ANG kept plugging away, making the best of the situation.  In time, High Command realized the need for more communication and realized, due to other interests, that a change was needed.  Lorenzas Atticus, leader of the "Bones Brigade" unit, vetran of ANG, and multi-time winner of the Krieg's Run race, was named Admiral.  The newly promoted Admiral Atticus had a vision for ANG, and wanted to change the way many things were done.

This made Kyp think that maybe it was time for a change for him too, though he kept working with ANG, participating in a few more searches of surrounding space and helping to build and develop new infrastructure on Qiilura.  Kyp was also continuing to develop his trader reputation, approaching two billion credits in CPM trades and over 400 positive feedbacks.  He also became a citizen of the Trade Federation, and earned a Trade Federation Trader Raking of +3.  Kyp's trade reputation was growing and, though Kyp's Kustoms seldom took on new commisions due to time constraints, Kyp was excited about the possiblity of striking out on his own.

Kyp, and his good friend Kohl eventually decided that they both wanted to leave ANG and start a Mercenary group on their own.  After considering the options, Kyp, Kohl, several surviving members of Aliit Solus'oya, along with a few of the guys that were under Kyp's immediate command left ANG to pursue their dreams.  Though all new it would be a struggle at first, everyone was excited about the possibilities this new adventure could bring.

It was during this time that a contact of Kohl's asked for some assistance in colonizing a newly found world.  Kyp and Kohl immediately headed to the newly found planet and began helping Darlenze Bazinga and SYT Transport take control of the planet.  For their efforts the two were awarded some land on the planet.  A new headquarters for the fledgling mercenary group had been found.  The process of building and improving the planet began.  Not long after, the biggest suprise of all would happen...and change the course of history forever.

While Kohl, and Kyp continued to work on getting a faction started, a few more of the original members went missing, and a few others found different opportunities.  Time constraints continued to take it's toll on the process of forming a faction.  This eventually caused Kyp's friend Kohl to take a step back from day-to-day  operations and it seemed the Shadow Hawks would never get formed.  Kyp during this time continued to expand and grow his customer base and trading reputation.  While Kyp and the remaining original members of the Shadow Hawks continue to work towards launching the faction, a need for revenue was obvious.  With the infrastructure brought to the partnership by Straffer and Kyp's limited resources Arkanus Enterprises was born.

Currently a non-faction trading group, Arkanus Enterprises combines the best of all worlds.  Able to pursue, develop, and adapt to any customer's needs is essential in today's galaxy.  Kyp and the guys promise to provide honest and fair trading and services to the galactic public.  And while our hopes of forming a mercenary faction may have temporarily been dampened, we are striving to make it happen, keeping our heads up and plugging onward.  This is the same determination that allows Arkanus Enterprises to serve the galaxy well.

Kyp has been on a path, a path that will lead him to his destiny.  The path has been long and tough, sometimes even unpleasant and dangerous.  From war to epidemic, Kyp has remained true to himself and his virtues.  His honest dealings with customers and many many friends he has made over the years helped to make him and his business what they are today.  Kyp would like to thank everyone that helped make it possible, and looks forward to meeting many more sentients, and helping to bring high quality trading and services to the galaxy.
